During my weekend stay, I was thrilled with the ability to stroll to famous spots like Rockefeller Center, just about 1 kilometer away, and Central Park, which is almost 3 kilometers distant and perfect for a leisurely afternoon. The area is bustling with a fantastic selection of late-night dining options, so you won’t have to worry if hunger strikes. The roof was nice for enjoying the views, and the rooms, while small, were pretty livable. Although the shared bathroom could use a bit more attention, the cleanliness overall was satisfactory.

The room was small, as expected, but the layout was inconvenient. The shared bathrooms were surprisingly clean, with luxurious marble walls that felt upscale. The hallway carpet showed signs of wear, with stains near the showers. Blinds remained shut the entire stay due to the lack of privacy from the adjacent building. it captured the essence of compact city living but left much to be desired in other areas.

The room was clean and cozy, perfect for a romantic evening! The balcony had a nice view where we sipped wine and enjoyed the sunset.

Had a blast staying within walking distance to Grand Central and a short stroll to Time Square. The rooftop area was a sweet spot for chillin'. Appreciated the extra amenities like toiletries and pillows, plus the helpful and friendly hotel team. And the view of the East River was a nice touch!
Rooms were a bit snug, especially the showers for taller folks. Air conditioning could use a boost for those warm days, but overall a solid pick for the price point.

Pod 51 offered amazing amenities like free guided walking tours and fast WiFi, which made our family trip better than budget. The daily tours were a hit with our kids, providing a fun way to explore the city together.
My wife says that a room with a bit more space would be ideal for families to move around comfortably.

They had dope free walking tours and super fast WiFi, perfect for posting all our insta stories. the luggage storage was clutch when we checked out. And guess what? They organize fab daily tours - we felt like VIPs!
To make it even more epic, I wish they had a sick rooftop party spot for us young party animals! .

Had a blast during my New Year getaway! The location was superb, right near fifth avenue with tons of bars and cafes nearby. Plus, the room was spotless and cozy, providing all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The shower water pressure was on point, and the toiletries provided were a nice touch.
On the downside, the shared bathroom could use a facelift and was not up to par with the photos online. The noise levels from neighboring guests were a bit disruptive, and the A/C unit was quite noisy even with earplugs.

there were some downsides as well. The heating in the room was a bit inconsistent, leading to some moments where it got too warm and we had to open the window. The air conditioning was a bit loud, but manageable once we adjusted. The rooftop terrace was a definite plus, offering a fantastic view of the city. On the flip side, the shared bathrooms were a bit of a letdown - they were not well-maintained, with some toilets being blocked and unpleasant to use. One of the major issues was the lack of cleanliness in the shared bathrooms, as well as the broken safe and loose stairs to the bunk beds. Despite reporting these concerns, there was a lack of prompt action taken to address them, which was disappointing. In summary, if you're looking for a budget-friendly option with a great location and helpful staff, Pod 51 could be worth considering. Just be prepared for some potential drawbacks in terms of room amenities and shared facilities.

the room at pod 51 was clean and comfy. the hotel is near the E subway line - super handy for getting around. also, close to jamaica center for airtrain to all terminals. the staff were very helpful, and there's a rooftop with great city views. also, a cool bar on the ground floor.

Our room was well presented and clean, with a neat sink area. The location was great, close to restaurants and parks, and we were able to walk to many attractions. The rooftop was a nice bonus. Overall I'll recommend this hotel.

The location of the hotel was absolutely perfect, right in the center and close to two metro stations. Despite the small room size, it was convenient and had all the necessary amenities. The bed was comfortable and the AC kept the room nice and cool. The bathroom had everything we needed and was surprisingly clean. The public areas, like the lobby and rooftop, were welcoming and offered great views. The free city walking tours were a bonus and a wonderful way to explore the city.
The noise in the room, even with the aircon turned off, was quite bothersome. The staff could have been more attentive and friendly, especially the blonde woman at the concierge desk.

we had a nice experience at pod 51. the design and atmosphere were wonderful, with smelly cosmetics in the clean bathrooms. the rooftop terrace offered a great view of the city, and it was enjoyable to take food from the nearby restaurants and spend the evening there. the bunk bed room was small but comfortable, and the shared bathroom system worked well. the staff were friendly and resolved any issues promptly.
